Security for my space?

i only joined my space to see my sons profile. it's the big hype I guess. doesn't anyone watch the messages being sent back and forth? why have there been all these problems with the young ones being lured into meeting all these men. Is there a way to see what messages are being sent? my daughter has a space too and I'm gettin' scared. I try to keep her off at home but she goes to the friends house. HELP!

Have a talk with your kids. It's better to educate them about the dangers in life than banning them from anything potentially harmful. They need to grow up eventually and seperate right from wrong.

If you set the profile to age 14 on Myspace. It will make it private so that no1 (besides for his contacts already) will be able to view it. Also I'm sure you can block and delete people.

Your able to view comments that are sent to people but not messages....

Ah thats crap about your daughter. Umm I dont know what you can do- if you know her password you could cancel the account but that would cause her to be very angry at you.. talk with her and tell her your problems with Myspace. I agree completley tho. There are so many disgusting, older males in particular on the internet who add young girls and try and be-friend them.

A friend of mine daughter was on that and some icky people found her school. And somehow her phone. They do have a profile to start. My friend after talking to her kids thinks maybe it isn't that hard for people to buy information from others-even on supposed private sites.
