Is the Big Bang the first instance of an ejaculation into space?

I know this is a weird question, but I read it somewhere in a book and wanted to know if anyone else wondered or heard this also.

This Big Bang instance is similar to an ejaculation where many sperms try to reach an egg in space to fertilize with, just as many planets are trying to reach a sun to orbit around and to provide life on its planet. Or it could be that hot matter from the big bang, such as stars scatter throughout space and eventually reach a certain spot where they meet with planets that then fall into orbits around the star.

It is similar to the saying that "As Above, So Below" and also shows how the laws of probability work in Nature.

Since you are old enough now to ask questions, it's probably time to put away the Playboy magazines and pick up the one in your dad's drawer that says 'science' on the cover.

No. That is just a crazy idea.

This is probably not a serious question, but in fact the ancient Egyptians believed that the universe began with a god's ejaculation! There is a stela (carved rock panel) in the British Museum showing this event, and during Victorian times the Brits had to cover part of it up with a sign. 8^)

Personally this sounds like complete rubbish. I can't see any parallels with ejaculation. The commonly held belief is that the split second before the Big Bang there was nothing, just a singularity, everything packed into an infinitesimally small point. The Big Bang isn't an explosion into space, The Big Bang CREATED space (and time - which is why there actually isn't such a thing as 'before the Big Bang'). Space emerged from this one point and has been expanding ever since. This is why it's wrong to say the Big Bang 'ejaculated' into anything.

As for the 'sperms trying to reach an egg', after the Big Bang, there was nothing but clouds of dust and gas, which over millions/billions of years were brought together by gravity to form stars and then the dust around those stars would have formed planets due to gravity. I don't believe planets are trying to reach a star, they simply form around them.

I can't see any link between gravitational forces and fertilisation of an egg.

I agree with Marc J. It was millions of years before matter formed, let alone stars and planets. The Big Bang cannot be compared to that.

If the laws of Physics, as we know them, were created in that first instance - was there an ejaculation of physical laws too?

By nature, we're predisposed to applying familiar patterns to the new and unknown. We compare a new sequence of events to familiar ones.
For example, while driving an old Ford Contour, you might notice a burning smell; looking at the temperature gauge, you notice it's skyhigh; the "service engine" light pops up too. If you've never seen this sequence of events, you may be at a loss. But if this is the second time your Contour's given you this problem, you will quickly realize you may be running low on coolant - maybe a sign of a blown head gasket. You applied a familiar pattern to a new one.

And we do this in every facet of our lives. Ever been told, as a kid, God's sad or angry when there's a thunderstorm? We take what we know - we cry when sad, we yell and scream and break things when angry - and apply it to what we don't know.

It's a quick way of figuring things out. Except we do apply it to everything, and often the patterns are similar by simple coincidence. Especially when we commute what we know of our humble experience on Earth to something as vast as the Universe without asking for evidence.

The term " ejaculation " is probably meant to represent the outward direction of small scattered object coming from a single point. The answer to your question is, No. This was not the first time this happened. There are many theories on what exactly took place before the big bang. Possibly the galaxies expelled outward until they were eventually pulled back in by the tremendous gravitation pull, and this happened infinitely.
Some believe that there are alternate dimensions of space time that make up our universe and when these dimensions collide you get a "big bang". So Hypothetically, there could be a universe just like ours in another dimension that might have a slightly higher gravitational pull or speed of light than ours because these values are being split up between different dimensions and not necessarily equal. Remember, our universe is perfect in the sense that energy can never really be lost.

Who knows for sure but it certanly wasnt the last ejaculation. LOL
