Meeting ex's new bf?

I stayed friends with my ex after a break up in November, and she has just recently started dating a new guy. I had a hard tiem at first but it is getting better. Anyway on the weekend I met her new guy. He was nice though I can't really picture them together. I didn't feel awkward of bad or anything. Although with all the stress I've been under lately my friend and I have decided to talk less for a bit just to give her a chance to get close to the new guy. Anyway has anyone else done this? Was it a weird idea? My friend's mom freaked when she found out (hence the space), I think she wants me out of her daughter's life.

The only issue I had with her was that I was afraid she'd stop being my friend, for some reason that consumed me a bit, but I'm getting over it. I do want her to be happy and to find a guy she loves. We weren't right for each other when we dated, but we have fun together. After a few weeks of me not calling or going over to her house I think her mom will be fine. We haven't spoken much this week but whatever it's not a big deal.

Wow - it's weird but it doesn't sound like you really have or had feelings for her or you would definately be upset about the whole situation. Tell mom too bad b/c it just ain't gonna happen with you and the ex.
