Confusion - what is he thinking? I'm just giving him space & leaving it be - hoping he'll come around?

I met this guy through mutual friends. We clicked immediately. He really opened up to me. He made plans for the future - even though we hadn't been together long at all. He told me how much he liked me & cared about me. He also showed his insecure side & said that he didn't want to rush anything because he tends to fall fast & run. I basically told him he should stop thinking about things so much & just let them flow. He was calling me sometimes 3-4 times a day & asking to come over all the time. He works split shifts so when I'd go out I'd ask if he wanted to join us at then end of his shift. He did for a while & then said it was fine, have fun. I was trying to make him feel secure but I think he was falling fast, got scared & needed space. I continued to ask him as these are mutual friends of ours. I think I pushed him away. He called me on Sunday afternoon, then Sunday night freaked out that this was too serious for him. He said he isn't feeling it & doesn't see a future together!??

Yep - the best thing to do is leave them alone when they run. Less than a week and the phone rang. We are working on things now. He just needed to be left alone to have time to think.

omg i had tha same thing happen to me. let him noe tha you understand tha he is scared to fall for you but you are not gonna hurt him and you wat things to work out. most times a guy gets scared becuz they have been hurt before and tha's probably wut happened to him he got hurt in his past and he doesn't wat tha to effect ur future so instead of tryna to talk to you about it he runs. all i can tell you is to be there for him and let him noe tha you care. if he is feeling insecure its cuz he's not sure tha you are goin to alwayz be there for him so alwayz remind him tha you care. let him noe tha if things don't work out you guyz could alwayz be friends. so you will alwayz be around. ok gurl good luck. peace.
