U.S program. 2 man capsules that flew in the mid 1960s, just before Apollo, to test out long duration space flight, docking with other space craft and space walking. All goals met.

The Gemini program was the 1960s American space mission to launch two man spacecraft (following on the one manned Mercury and preceding the three man Apollo). Firsts include the first American spacewalk (by Ed White), first docking with another spacecraft (commanded by Neil Armstrong, he docked with a defective Agena rocket, and had to immediately disconnect), highest altitude achieved to that time (800 miles, on the next flight, when the Agena performed properly).
