A question I've always wondered about?

Is it strange that we as humans want to explore space, meet beings from other worlds, and colonize other planets... yet we are practically trashing our own world and, in general, can't resolve the cultural conflicts here on Earth?

I mean "we" as in general. Obviously not everyone wants to explore space.

We need to get over ourselves and concentrate on what's important. Since we probably won't ever do that, we're doomed.

And yeah, it is strange, but humans are just weird like that. HUGE contradictions of ourselves and causing our own armageddon.

and since we do trash the Earth, probably a good idea to have a back-up ;-)

humans have throughout history created problems and wanted them fixed for them
global warming will soon be resolved

yes, sad but true...our world is a mess

our search for other worlds is just a form of escapism...instead of dealing with the problems that we have created we seek the means to escape them.

Simple - We have ruined thisplanet and need another to start our destruction over again.

people love change and get tired of the same thing really quickly. rather than care about the planet they really are capable of living on, they want to reach for the stars, so to speak.

good question your right maybe some people are explores of new worlds and accept and respect other societies but most people are just out for themselves sadly
