been with an idiot for three years, before i met him my life was great and now im sitting on a computer asking you girls, what sort of things did you do when you become single again to make your life more adventerous, what makes being single cool?

* You don't have to bother with worrying what he's up to any more

* You can have fun with your girlfriends, guilt free!
* You can have your pick of the men out there
* You never have to say "sorry, I've got a boyfriend" to the next cute guy who chats you up
* You're not degrading yourself by being with a loser
* You have hopefully picked up on some warning signs so that you can avoid men like him in the future!
* You've now opened yourself up to find the man who's right for you!

Treat this as a fresh start hun! Think about what you've learned whilst being with him and how you've changed, then put it all down to experience and move on! Stay positive - it's great being single! People who need a boyfriend to be happy are very sad indeed!

Oh, and maybe you should ask your friends to throw you a newly single party!

Honestly, go clubbing. Put yourself out there and find a guy who makes your life adventerous and interesting.

being single is cool, party like it's 1999 with no stress or worries, enjoy time with friends and family, go shopping, get your hair done. Whatever makes you happy and then when your ready another man will come along.

You don't have to answer to anyone but yourself - you can go out where you want, when you want. I started looking at going to schools far away because "who's going to stop me?" That attitude made me really love my freedom.

I went on a working holiday and re-discovered myself ( I worked at a kids camp for disadvantaged youth). I took some classes that I wanted to take and I started a dance troupe. Just do something that you would love to do but never would have when you were with him.

I can relate, recently i came out of a relationship that was over 2 years long. It sucks at first but hanging out with friends helps a lot.
They bring you back to your old self and then if you feel like it, go out clubbing or do anything else that involves meeting some new people. You don't necessarily have to find a new love interest but dating around is fun without the commitment of yet another long term relationship.

Forget everything and have fun!

I think you should go n splash out on some amazing new clothes, then spend a whole afternoon pampering yourself before going out clubbin with your best mates, getting absolutely hammered and dancing yourself stupid! Being told your hot by lots of other guys also makes you feel loads better!
ps if you can see your ex in a stupid hat/ with a crap new haircut, it'll be bliss!
