Whats the proper age for a teenage girl to begin dating? |
My daughter has crushes and talks to a boy she met on my space! he calls and talks to her is that wrong! My daughter is 13 and he's 16! Whats the proper age for a young girl to begin dating? The proper age for a girl to begin dating is the age that she and her parents are both comfortable enough to let her be in a relationship. I think it depends much more on her mindset than on her age. Some people are ready at sixteen and others aren't ready until their in their twenties. any age that you feel is right for your own daughter is proper... 22 to date. 13 not 13. I think 16 is a good age but it also depends on the guy she is going to go out with. There is no age. 15, if they are the same age. i began dating at 15, but i really dont know anymore. 11 and 12 year olds act more like 15 year olds now. okay. if not my daughter, 16 or so. If she's my daughter, never. your the mom/dad its your decision oh come on parent. Wake up! are you ready for a grand child?? Dont let her date until shes 18. A teenage girl is so vulnerable and can be talked into anything I would say about 14&1/2 or 15 at the earliest. i'm 13 and i'm dating a 13yr old but uhm for a moms' sake probably freshman year. 16 YEARS about 16 I would not at all let her date a 16 year old. I would let her have chaperoned dates at your house at 15, group dates at 16 with an early curfew, and then lock her in the basement until she turns 30. Daughters - gotta love em. 13 + 5 = 18! What? You need to stop this now. She is too young for anything like that! This is why bad things happen to young girls. any age really is fine by my book but if she meet him on myspace he is probaly 47 and old and just wants her so dont let her go wit him 13 and 16 is probably not a good idea. But, supervised dates with a boy closer to her age might begin at 15 or 16. That's supervised. try and give some sex education to your daughter, make sure she full understand that a 16 yr old boy may want more than kissing I was not allowed to date until I had a drivers license. 13 is a good age thats when most girls mature.... its ok if she dates for a while just make sure what she does is not crazy and give her the birds and the bees talk but 16 is a little toooo old for a guy To me the proper age is 13. It's the time that a girl becomes more mature. But i have something to say about the 16 year old guy. If hes 16 he sounds like hes in high school. And shes only 13. Which means that shes still in elementary. Being in 2 different schools is a very big sign that the 2 wont work out as much as thhey want it to. they are at way to different an age to be talking. He has different ambitions than her, if you know what I mean. I would cut the cyber talk out and let the natural course run thru. Personally, butting in too much never helps...unless something is wrong or not up to your standards...aka, age difference etc. I just wanted to let you know.....that kids these days grow and mature much much faster than we did or had to in our day....so this is how i look at it.....i don't have any children....however i do have a niece and a nephew.....my nephew is 15 going on 19....he has the maturity level of a nice well rounded 18 year old....but he's 15.....i know....i can't believe it either....but it's just something that we are going to have to get used to...and quick b4 we loose their respect and trust.....hope this helps.... that is a bit bad i suppose ...but my mate was 15 and she went out with a 19 year old...and she learnt that he was too much older than her...because they both liked different things...we all have to learn things...just keep an eye on her. I had a boyfriend when i was thirteen we have been together quite a long time hehe I'm still with him now we are 2 years and a month apart my father doesn't approve but I've known him since we were young if your daughter doesnt actually know the guy thats a lil scary she will more than likely get over it But you have to be comfortable with her dating you arent her friend your her parent =] good luck It's entirely up to you as her parent to know when she is ready. Every girl is different, it depends on her level of maturity and the trust you have in her. I definitely think 13 is much too young. I also think at 16 the boy is just a bit too old for her at her age now. Maybe if she was 16 and him 19 it wouldn't be so bad but at 13 she needs to stick with friends closer to her age. I think most girls should be ready to date at 16 or 17, not before. Truly dating...15-16 |
