Why do you think my friend is acting this way?

my name is heather and i have a chick friend she met me on my space/We hang out sometimes. For some reason she lies to me about everything.Her name is linda.She lies about Where she lives ,her job, and she contradicts herself a lot too. Well I know i shouldnt be friends with her but I am still because I am confused about the whole situation. I took her to dinner for her bday and i met her other friends. One is just a party friend and the other is a nice girl like me.Her name is lori. Lori is Married and has a good job.Seems normal and i met lori threw her. Lori and i were getting along great. I was wondering why lori was friends with the one who lies a lot to me (linda)Anyways lory and i got along great.she took pictures of us at square one and put them on her myspace. Well 2 days later she removed them.do you think that my myspace lying friend told her stuff about me? also why do you guys think shes lying to me all the time? and why does she have a decent friend if shes a liar

The best thing for you to do is to relinquish this friendship and make new friends that don't need to lie and realise you for your true self. Don't waste any more time on this person, she is not worthy of your friendship!

Maybe shes just not happy with who she is and thats why she lies and if she did lie about who you are then that just shows she is afraid to lose a friend to someone else. Its actually kinda sad when people can't show who they truley are and have to hide behind lies. Also some good people feel bad for the other ones who are so sad and want to help them but they always end up getting hurt themselves so be careful and I would say let this one go or confront her with her lies and make her fess up abd tell her she doesn't need to lie for you to like her , your choice.

Heather why does anyone do what they do. I had a friend for years, we grew up together and a couple of years ago, I began to realise she slagged everyone off, it actually began to get me down, she was so negative. But it wasn't me imagining it. I met some casual mutual acquaintance who looked at me like I was dirt, and I knew my pal was slagging me off too.
I don't know why she did it. All I can imagine is your friend Linda, must have very low self esteem, why else would she lie. She also must suffer from jealousy, that's why she dished you to Lori.
Maybe Lori is an old schoolfriend, who knows what problems she had/has and that's why she remains friends.
I got away from my friend, she was getting me down, maybe you should do the same.
