Do u try to live live or just exist?

we have
taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider freeways,
but narrower viewpoints. We spent more, but have less,
we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and
smaller families, more
conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but
less sense, more knowledge, but less judgement, more
experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less
wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too
recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too
angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too
little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom. We
have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our
values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate
too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life.
We've added years to life not life to years. We've
been all the way to the moon and back, but have
trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbour.We
conquered outer space but not inner space. We've
done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've
conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write
more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish
less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build
more computers to hold more information, to produce
more copies than ever, but we communicate less and
less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion,
big men and small character, steep profits and shallow
relationships. These are the days of two incomes but
more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These
are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway
morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and
pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to
kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom
window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when
technology can bring this letter to you, and a time
when you can choose either to share this insight, or
to just hit delete.

Remember, spend some time with your loved ones,because
they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to
you in awe, because that little person soon will grow
up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you,
because that is the only treasure you can give with
your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, "I love you" to your partner and
your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and
an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from
deepinside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for
someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak, and give time
to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take,
but by the moments that take our breath away.

Congratulations on your writing.You have quoted true and unfortunately sad statements about nowadays life.I would say that I couldn't agree more with you.In this period of my life I'm through one of the worst moments of it.The only thing that keeps helping me hope is the though of a better future.I'm not living but existing at present.Like everybody I have had good periods and bad ones.That's life and it seems I can do a little to change it.Hope and wish for the best for me and for you too.Reading your writing also made me smile because at least there are still some nice and caring people left on this world.

I live as if this life is short and is the only one we get, which is the truth.

sorry Sarah, I exist and try to live, but not for the purpose of reading such long stories.

You can either choose to live or merely exist in life. Those who accept Jesus as their savior live life to it's fullest extent. Those who remain lost with out Jesus in their life are merely existing and awaiting death.

I live life, like it is my last. Life is too short no matter how old or how young you are, you just never know! Life live for the moment is my motto.

Life is too short, like it can end even TODAY! So just get on with it and have a good time; who cares what others are doing; it is their choice, not yours to judge!

I live in the love and faith of Him who said: "I have come that you may have life and have it to the full." (John 10:10) Some people think that Christians are narrow and bigoted: not a bit of it! They are people who live life to the full, in the sure and certain hope of eternal life.

Live life definately! As a Pagan it is almost statutory that I live a good life, love and respect those around me and nature, learn as much as I can and have a wonderful life of experiences. I did a firewalk in the summer and that was FANTASTIC as well as spiritual. I was planning a charity skydive but I am now pregnant so I am delaying it. I want to see life from as many perspectives as possible so I can pass on my new found knowledge onto my child. My partner and I wanted to travel, now we will wait a few years and take our child with us. What a life he/she will have by seeing the world.
