What's with her ?

There's this girl at my workplace, I liked her from the beginning, one day, during a meeting, she came to sit next to me, started talking to me, same thing in another meeting the next day , I gave her lift to home that night, and we had a really nice conversation in the way, i'm sure she was also really interested in me as well (through her gestures, etc), I was really happy that everything is going so well and was thinking of asking her out, the third day, a meeting was called up again, same thing, she came to sit next to me, although there was little space, but she forced herself in to sit with me , but after about an hour of same laughing and talking, she suddenly stood up and went away (no mistake made by me as far as i can guess), and she seems to be avoiding me since then , I can't understand what happened, I'm sure i said nothing wrong/weird to her last time, but it's like she's gone "off" suddenly .... what could be wrong with her/me ?

yes it's normal if you said something that seriously offended her, she would have decided she didn't like you and is avoiding her.

or maybe she passed gas and thought you smelled it and is embarrassed to look at you

I would avoid workplace romance. Unless you don't care about your career. A vindictive Ex is never a good thing to have around at work. Sexual harassment is taken very seriously these days even when the party accused is innocent. I would just let it go if I was you plenty of fish in the sea you know!

why don't you walk over to her and ask her if you said or did something wrong, that she is upset with you. I would never date someone in the work place, if you ever break up, both would feel funny working there

I'm ignoring the "do women really go off like this" comment. The only way to know what's going on is to ASK HER.
