My bf says I can't have a normal relationship with a guy. 2 of my college teachers developed an interest on me & I kinda wanted to handle it in a mature way coz I didn't want to ruin my grades. I told both of them I have a bf but they insited having a coffee so we met... what is the problem with that? can't we be friends? now one of the instructor is in Germany & a few days back he sent me a text with his email in it. I frankly thought to email him but when I told my bf about it.......wow...it pissed him...I'm confused. What is the problem of having a friendship as long as you are clear about it?

when you are in a relationship i think it is inappropriate to acquire new friends of the opposite sex. old friends, got it, new friends no. its ok to have friendly hellos, but coffee, lunch, dinner...no no. i would be pissed too. only gay men approach women with the inital intention of being her friend. most men want sex when they first see a chick, they don't be like "oh damn! i wanna be her friend...girl please.

Don't just sit back and try to be friends with them, just so you can get good grades. If you keep up what you are doing something is going to happen that you can't control. I think you should listen to your boyfriend and tell your administrators. Teachers like that should not be able to teach. Its not right.

Because those slick, no good college proffessors want MORE than just your friendship. And their willing to give you straight A's for it. Don't be led on by their slick willie ways. Your boyfriend is right.

The professor has alternative reasons for wanting your friendship. Eventually, he will try to get you to trust him, so that he can convince you to have sex with him. That is the way this scenario usually goes. Don't trust a man that has no real reason to want a friendship with you. That is just a ploy to get you to trust them. I certainly, from experience, know what your bf is thinking. I too, once thought I had a male friend that i could trust. He was my so called fried for 20 something years, but finally tried to have sex with me, because I asked him to loan me a few dollars until payday. Then he thought I owed it to him to sleep with him. Needless to say, i gave him the money back and the friendship is over. He was just waiting for the opportunity for me to be vunerable to him. Men don't think like women.
