What is this movie??? from the 90's about pirates i think?

starts out this guy is in his room and he ends up on a pirate like island, he meets a few pirates and then a mermaid in the water and she turns into a human, somehow the guy ends up in a tree, and its a pizza tree, after that they end up in blackbreards cave and try to steal treasure. they make a deal with black beard and he goes back home,
its kinda old
but its from my childhood, i think it was on the disney channel a long time ago
i would really love tooo watch it again

Jack Carlisle (Zachery Ty Bryan) is a disillusioned 13-year-old boy. His mother (Schae Harrison) is always away at work since his father left. He decides to run away, certain that his mother won't miss him. As he is ready to leave, his nanny convinces him to read a "magic book", which is about a pirate adventure on Magic Island. As Jack reads the book, he is sucked into the world and goes on numerous adventures with Prince Morgan, while fleeing the evil Blackbeard the Pirate. He is even saved by Lily, a beautiful mermaid, with whom he falls in love.

A couple of days ago, I began to let my mind wander in class, \ and I kept getting hit with these images of exotic beaches, a runaway boy throwing pizza at a sand shark, a pirate and a mermaid, and for the life of me I could not remember where these pictures were coming from since I hadn't read a book or seen a movie with a runaway kid and pirates for over 10 years. Once I started thinking about it though, I couldn't get the movie out of my head, so I searched IMDb and found "Magic Island." This was one of my favorite movies when I was younger. While some of the lines are admittedly a little cheesy and the plot is definitely for a younger audience, I can't help but fall in love with it all over again.

I answered this question for someone else recently, so the details were fresh in my mind. She had less details, but I immediately thought of this film, which I haven't seen since it first came to the movie channels. I remember it being a lot of fun, somewhat in the spirit of the more recent "Pirates of the Plain", with Tim Curry as the outlandish, roguish, droll Jezebel Jack, magically transported to present-day Nebraska.
