I was moved to write this Sestina poem, after reading this question

I wondered through this world to seek my place
A whisper told me about amazing grace
Marvellous are His hands that show mercy
So wonderful, despite my sins embrace
So beautiful, He touched eternity
The Lord, He is so beautiful to me

So beautiful, So beautiful to me
Glorious was the death that took my place
Purchased with blood that came from eternity
The Lord who came to seek me in His Grace
Found me a wounded soul He could embrace
Lord in your Mercy

Lord in your Mercy
Have mercy upon me
You did this and still found room to embrace
You went upon the tree, which was my place
And now I know what is Amazing Grace
When I will see you in eternity

To be there with you in eternity
Lord remember me and thine mercy
And why it was for us, you gave your grace
With all the love you poured out, just for me
And all my sorrows, how you did re-place
That did fill up my void, with your embrace

Who then, is there like you, who can embrace
From a sinner, to all eternity?
That gives a home to those that need a place
Lord in your mercy, Lord in your mercy
Lord, your mercy, have mercy upon me
To be a part of your amazing grace

I responded by my faith, to your grace
Them that go on before I will embrace
The call of my master, is calling me
So make room for me in eternity
Who will, come sailing in, on your mercy
When we, meet again, in that special place


There is a place that is filled with Gods grace
Where mercy and truth receives a full embrace
In eternity, I pray there鈥檒l be room, for me


Sestina
A sestina (or sestine or sextain) is a highly structured poem consisting of six six-line stanzas followed by a tercet (called its envoy or tornada), for a total of thirty-nine lines. The same set of six words ends the lines of each of the six-line stanzas, but in a different order each time;
