Kissing Cousins* I think my Cousin likes me, but is she in denial or just afraid?

Before you say "ewww, how could you ever marry your cousin, that is incest!" or "the kids will have defects!" ....Listen to me for a second. I have a cousin, she is a girl, and we just met last week in over 10 years. (the last time we saw each other was when I was 10, and she was 6.) Ever since we met last week, we have been inseparable. We have talked on the internet 4 days/nights in a row...usually for about 8 to 10 hours. She and I both have told each other that we do not think of each other as cousins. Instead, her and I have declared to each other that we are each others best friends now. And one night when we were chatting, I said "Your dad would never let you and I be in the same room together." My cousin asked "Why not?" I said ..."because he thinks we are 'kissing cousins'." And then my cousin replied, "But we're not cousins...."

She jokes a lot about us getting "together" but when I asked her if she liked me, and she said No and Yes. She said "no romantically, but yes because you are my other half." I am getting mixed signals from her. Can
someone please tell me what is going on in her mind? Is it possible that she is falling in love with me? I've dated a girl before for 2 and a half years, so i do know what love is. But...I am in love with my cousin. I dont care what anyone says, I am in love with her. I would do anything for her. How do I let her know how I feel about her? Does she like me too? And how long should I wait until I tell her that I love her? Seriously...no negative comments please. Dont judge me, because I cant control who I love, it just happens. Is she afraid to tell me that she likes me too? How should I bring this up when im talking to her. BTW...she couldnt get on the computer tonight, so she called me from her dads phone and we talked for 3 hours until the battery died.

I honestly think that you are just confused, loving your cousin in a romantic way is just not normal, sorry thats NOT what you wanted to hear.

i think she does like u cuz i have never known anyone who talks onthe phone for sooooo long and say these kind of things to each other with out feeling like they really like eachother. i think she is just afraid of what u might say...when i had bearly started talking to my fiance back when i was 15 and he was 19 we would spend hours on the phone and be really nice to each other like "we really like each other" but neither of us would admit it i would say stuff like "ur a really good friend and i love u but as a friend" but only because i was afraid of what he might say since i was only 15
so he would say stuff like "i like u as a sister" cuz he tought i would think he was some kind of freak since he was 19

look somethin very similar happened to me... my cousin proposed me..i loved him soo much but only as a brother.... when he proposed me he said he always got signals from me and it shocked him wen i sd no..... so be sure before u make a move......

You are both confused. It almost sounds like each of you is leading the other on about things.

So just chill out. From what I understand she is 16 - Just got off from using diappers And you are 20 - Confused and looking for love.

Without even bringing the whole cousin thing, you are talking about possible jail time too. Do you really want to date someone under 18 and end up picking up the soap from bubba? You think this may be stupid but just wait til you do the years in jail and then you have to register as a sex offender for the rest of your life.

So be very weary what you do. Just wait until you are both more mature, then do what your heart tells you.

Please for the Love of God, for your sake, for the sake of your future and your family, Trust me when I say. Do not get involved with your cousin. I do not doubt that you have feelings but the complications and resentment you will have as an adult will not be worth it now. I've never personally been anywhere close to being in your shoes but the older you get, the more baggage from life you get in general and an incestuous relationship is the last thing you will ever want on your plate.

So your 20 and she's 16? Yeah not a negative comment. Its kind of cute but its not legal not to mention ethically wrong. Although you may feel that you were like strangers... just remember that you have the same grandmother/father.

Sometimes when you meet someone you can just synch with them to the point that you're almost instantly inseparable - I remember meeting a guy and we used to talk between 3 - 8 hours a day because we both got along so well, no romantic or sexual tension at all.

I also have another friend whom I'm 'infatuated' with but it is completely platonic, I just think they're incredibly awesome whenever I'm around them ... it's like a glow. However there isn't a hint of eroticism about it whatsoever and it happens like that with some people.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is, it's completely possible to find yourself completely and utterly wrapped up in another person without being or wanting to be romantically/sexually involved. So don't assume that this all means you're in love or destined to be together, especially if she says she doesn't want to be romantically involved with you.

Also .. if her dad already wouldn't leave you two alone in a room together, doesn't that say something about how badly this will go down with everyone? Think very carefully about this.
