Recurring dreams?!? since i was about eight or nine!!?

im now 22 and have had recurring dreams about filthy toilets and urinals (all in ab ig big room with a sort of labyrinth of toilets and urinals... like seriously grotty ones) since i was a child. the toilets are usually in my old school building or synagogue (!) and i am usually looking for or running from something. sometimes i am alone but mostly im with, or going to meet someone. ide really like to know what this dream means as it is quite disturbing and i wake up from it plenty, then go back to sleep and it continues ( yet quite a few of my dreams are like this) is there a meaning to any of the elements in my dream? what are they i need to know!!!

trying to think of how to describe the room..... if youve seen saw 1 - the same type of thing and the same type of filthy loo except many of them in a much bigger room

Since you have had this dream since 8 or 9, clearly something impacted you at that age. Im not sure if it had to be something dirty, but i would say it did have to do with the bathroom. And at that age, anything one may see could look dirty or scarey.

I like the person that said to think back on yourself at that age because i believe there lies the secret. MY best guess is that is could be as disturbing as the dreams, but it may not.

Actually darling with this dream...after all these years, I might..........if I were in your shoes actually talk with a doctor. I used to live in California and there are dream psycologists in fact.

when you are running in a dream it means you are running from something in life.if you relize it or not and you also say you are looking for something.in life you are missing something in your life until you find true happyness your dreams will continue.thats what i get out of it and i have read dream books.i don't know that i believe them but it sounds logical.

I usually have dreams of being chased too, it means you are in denial about somthing. I would have to agree with another user who said it may be a dirty secret. There might be something about you that you are in denial about, something that maybe the influential people in your life may not approve of, or you have learned in school or church is wrong...Whatever it is, if you accept yourself for who you are the dreams may stop. Since the dreams have been going on for so long, ask yourself who was in your life when you were that young, did any of them do anything that may have changed your view on them? You may be in denial about someone you care about.
