HELP! i think my parents are trying to set me up with some guy!?

its my mums friends son... ive never met him but my mum is always talking about him and everytime her friends come over they are like "oh we should have brought him with us"..they are trying to set us up! i know they wont force us but its still annoying!
Its my mums birthday 2day and he is coming over tonight..& we are kinda gona b forced 2 be together because the parents always go off in some other room..im scared its gona be so awkward!
i kinda wanted these things to happen naturally lol i dont want to be set up..
im almost 19 years old btw & i think he is as well.
what should i do? im a bit of a shy person & im kinda scared about 2nite? its gona b awkward! what do i talk about with him?

dont think of him as a person that you are being set up with. think of him as just a family friend. you dont have to be in relationship you can be just friends.
it will probably be awkward but getting to know someone for the first time...its always awkward. just ask him the normal questions, hi how are you? do you go to school? whats your major? what do u want to do with that? think of a story that he can relate to. get him involved and make sure hes repsonding. Tell some jokes.

Just act normally. Don't panic. If you don't like him there is no way of getting excited and worried. Talk him nicely and say something about schools, subjects or, ect. Also let your parents know they can't build up your love life, but I understand parents. They always want you to fall in love with good person. Check out that guy. You can't love him at the first sight, that's why I want you to relax and take things easily. You guys can become friends.

Not sure but give him a chance he could be tasty you know. Throw in a movie.
