Should Scientology be banned from the UK?

Scientology has been banned in Germany.

Should this dangerous and powerful criminal organisation be banned from this country before it gains too much power like it did in the US.

They managed to get tax exhempt status by stealing thousands of government files, investigating and blackmailing government officials, bugging IRS meeting rooms, and filing over 2,000 seperate law suits against the IRS and only agreed to drop them if the status was awarded.

Not to mention the families it's torn apart and the venerable people it's conned out of their life savings.

What do you think?

Have you tried to look for sources outside the UK?- There are plenty I assure you.

Scientology should be dealt with the same as any other religion. People should be educated to the point they no longer think they need it.

Perhaps we WILL always have religious people- but smarter religious people will be less prone to behave like Tommy Cruise and the Scientology brigade.

It's no different from any other religious order. Every new religion is believed to be a cult until it is granted social acceptance. Scientology should only be banned if every other religion is banned. (I mean, really, their stories are no crazier - personally, I think it's much less crazy to think that there was/is life on other planets than to think a guy was killed and got up 3 days later and physically ascended.)

Scientology should be regarded as what it is: a criminal enterprise, an extorting scam and a dangerous cult. It should be treated as such by all government agencies.

It should be banned everywhere in the world.
It's nuts,crazy no proof.
Some idiot was bored one day and invented a story that a lot of people fall for.
