I met this guy on the internet, i know usual ? right....please comment feeling very sad today....?

we were getting ready to meet up in my state this September when an old gf of his contacted me from myspace...she told me he was seeing someone and was sexually active with her on a regular basis. he acted like he was sexless every time we spoke , which is at least 3 times a week. i was about to get the hotel room here for him and could not stop talking about the upcoming meeting when this woman contacted me to say he had a gf. i am devastated. of course i do not expect him to be celibate , we have never met , and i am not in LOVE but i am emotionally attached to him. i feel kinda let down and sad , i asked him to cancel his plane tickets and he tried to explain his way of of the lies. am i overreacting? he said i would not of wanted to hear about his sex life with this woman. i probb would not of , but to act like he is sexless during conversation... i don't know am i being to hard on him , i do care for him but since my divorce a few yrs back i still have major man trust issues

gosh i feel so ashamed to even say that i want to meet this guy from the internet, it is so stereo typical of the web..but u would not think i would do such a thing if you knew me in person, i am 41 he is 39.i think he is real i just think i may not know him as well as i thought,its scary really.i asked him to please give me time , ( he keeps calling me , email me , text me, hes freaking out) even though i say i may need some time to think all this over he got really mad and instead of saying take the time , he said dont take to long or i wont come at all.i dont think that was a kind answer??he is angry and hurt as am i . just for the fact he wont give me the space to think all this through and is acting controlling i should break away? my therapist would say ,SEE YA.... =( life is always lessons. i thought for once he was different, is this just a man trait or what??

Never trust what old GF's say. Odds are they have a grudge against the guy still and will do anything to ruin his life in an attempt to try and make herself happy. Just because he was coming to meet you doesn't mean that you are the only one on his list...must be very high if he is flying to see you though...but you both are in the dating game and aren't committed to each other yet. Give the guy a chance and meet him in person before you make a biased decision based on what one of his old gf's say.

If you are looking for a trust worthy man.. Don't look throught internet!!! Thats the last place to go for one. You never know what men and Woman say on the intenet and theres no reason to say the truth ppl just like to have fun, you don't know if they are takign the friendship seriously..You should end it, theres no reason to get upset over someone whos going to treat you badly.

internet predators are sooooo good at hiding things and even if you saw his myspace it could have been made up with pics he found somewhere on the internet. and he could have been a 48 year old wanted murderer and rapist!!!

I don't think you're being too hard on him. He could still be a nice guy, but face it, you met him on the internet. He probably just wants to have sex with you and that's all. He's not going to wait to see you though to have sex, he'll find someone else while he waits.
