Awkward situation - what would you do?

I went to a meeting yesterday with the president of a company to rehearse a presentation I'd made for him.
I hired a teleprompter operator to come to the rehearsal.
I arrived early to set up and the teleprompter girl was already there.
It was clear that she was gay, judging by her haircut, masculine
clothing, and the fact that she didn't come on to me (yes that's a joke).
Anyway, the president walked into the room and greeted us with, "Good morning, gentlemen."
Aaawkwaard.
Then, throughout the rehearsal he would say things like, "would you gentlemen care for a coffee?", "would you gentlemen please excuse me?" etc.
She never corrected him.
Should I have said something? What could I have said?
I just felt very uncomfortable.
I wonder if she was even insulted about the misunderstanding?

I have dated a few people who got "gender checked" quite often. It never really bothered them, they weren't very "girly" anyway and knew that their look was fairly masculine. If there were ever a time when one of them seemed to be uncomfortable by the honest mistake, I would just say something like, "Oh she got here early" or whatever...something to subtly let the person know that they were mistaken. But usually, I noticed, that it is some what more embarrassing for all involved when the faux-pas is pointed out. I'm sure that she was not offended and it was totally OK that you did not say anything : )

I think that judging by the way you said she looks and dresses she probably wasn't insulted by it. Personally, I think it's cool when someone mistakes me as a guy.......it's what I'm trying to do! So, while it was awkward for you she probably had no problem with it.

it was her decision not to say anything, you're fine.

Next time it comes up, you could reply, "Well, I'm okay, but maybe SHE'D like to take something..." then turn to her and ask her, "Would you like to take something?"; and whatever her reply will be, just tell the president that "SHE'S already eaten, so SHE'S also okay." or "SHE'D just like to have a sandwich, since SHE just ate awhile back."

That would be a "sneaky" way to insert the pronoun so as to emphasize that she is, indeed, female. (Was her appearance very pronouncedly masculine, to justify the president to think that she was a he? It could seriously be a case of purely accidental "mistaken identity. You have to consider th
