Career decision? |
I have been currently interviewing for a number of positions and have fortunately been able to recieve two job offers. One position is for a sales rep position for a large food corportaion and offers a position in which there will be a everyday routine (possibly boring/repetitive) rather the other position is an account management position for an employment agency. The problem I'm having with making the decision is that the sales rep position offers more job security but a lower salary. The account management position on the other hand offers a higher salary and room for tremendous bonus but it does have a quota to meet. Fearing failure I am leaning towards the sales rep position but I do feel like I'm letting a good oppurtunity pass me by in the account management position. Not sure what to do.... Can anyone help? How driven are you? If you are a very driven, type A person, then chances are you will thrive in the account management position and make the quotas, etc. If you are not highly driven, then you won't make the quota and bonuses, so you would not be letting a good opportunity pass by not taking that job.
