Why is my daughter pushing away??!!?

I am new to Yahoo Answers and I'm hoping someone can assist me.

My daughter went to college an hour away from home. She lived with a friend who transfered after 2 days. Then they placed her with a very religious girl who tried to convert her.. My daughter moved out.

She was placed in a temporary dorm until this girls roommate moved in (she was moving in late) 2 weeks later my daughter moved again and had her own room. She had no friends, made no effort to make friends, cried, and came home every weekend.

At the end of her fall semester she met a girl who is now her best friend. She moved in with a girl she met for the spring semester and they became good friends as well.

During her spring semester her father passed away and her abusive boyfriend of 2 years dumped her. She attempted suicide numerous times, came after me with knives and really scared my family. We got her on medication and she is doing fine now.

My daughter had been considering transferring since she started at the University.

During her fall & spring semester she applied to 6 schools.

I will admit my input had a lot to do with her staying at her current university.

Now, she is looking at even more universities. This is costing me a lot of money to keep applying to schools. She has 5 schools more schools she wants to apply to.

All of these schools are 4-12 hours away.

In my opinion she has it very good at this university. She is learning disabled they allow her to make her schedule before other students, she is living with her best friend in a new dormitory what more could she want??!!!

She said she feels she does not fit in here and that so many people go home on weekends. My daughter comes home every weekend as well.

Why all of a sudden is my daughter choosing to go so far away??!
She never wanted to go far away in the beginning
and should I allow her to apply to these schools??

why is she acting like this??

maybe she needs space
and also a time for herself to find herself again
she needs happiness
maybe she should go somewhere
or take a vacation to get away from everything that is hurting her and stressing her out
i believe that she is really stress out
and feels like she has lost everything

stop using her personal space.
