Blister's around my vagina-been to the doctor-now im waiting for results?

I'm dealing with the same thing....I've been tested for STD's before like last September and January of this year. But I didnt get these blisters around my vagina until like thursday friday I went to the doctor and they said I had a bacterial infection and gave me flagel to take. My boyfriend and I had sex that Wednesday night with one of those trojan vibrating condoms....and I noticed that the vibrating ring kept hitting the area that I'm breaking out in..... like alot of friction against that area....I went to the emergency room Sunday.......and the doctor said it looks like herpes which I couldnt see how that was possible because I've been with my boyfriend for almost two years now and I've only had unprotected sex with him and only him, before we met I used condoms with other guys but my boyfriend now is the first guy I have had unprotected sex with.......unless he has been sleeping aruond...I talked to him about it and he said that if he had somthing he didnt know it and he has had sex with sombody unprotected before we even met and he said that if he had something he didnt know it but I never noticed anything serious around his penis when we would have sex........but I still dont see how that's possible that it could be herpes being that I was tested for all STD's September of 07 and January of this year and everything was negative. My doctor prescribed me valtrex and I'm taking that and they did a culture swab of the infectec area and they said that they would call me in 3 to 4 days if it was herpes...........so all I can do is wait I guess

first of all i have herpes and i got it even though i was careful and used a condom, condoms are not 100% affective they are 99 against pregnancy 99 against hiv and aids but they arent even 99% effective with herpes because herpes can be where the condom doesnt cover so there for sometimes its not even effective at all. Even though your boyfriend says he doesnt have anything that he knows of 50% of ppl get it and never have signs or symptoms. If they said it looks like herpes thats probably what it is but dont worry it wont kill you it will just take you a while to get used to it. Your boyfriend may have had it for a long time and didnt know it and still doesnt or he could have cheated and got it and given it to you, or your could have gotten it on your own there is really no way of telling and condoms dont help with herpes at all is my belief because i used a condom and still got it. But good luck i hope the results are negative but go on and prepare yourself for a positive result because if you do have it and you already prepared yourself you will be able to deal with the news alot easier trust me

The doctor should have been able to look at it and tell you if it is genital herpes. That's what it sounds like to me. You should have requested a blood test also - to doublecheck and make sure.

Thats called Herpes Simplex II. Its a viral infection and there is no cure, but Valtrex will help from having such severe outbreaks.
