Making friends with japanese exchange student? |
There is a Japanese exchange student my age, staying with me for a year and going to my school.Im a really shy person and I tried to go out of my comfort zone by asking her questions about herself but then she met my friend who is extremely talkative so now my exchange student only wants to be friends with my friend and keeps saying how nice my friend is.she is in her room now and Is there most of the time and I dont know what to say to her.can you please give me some tips on how I should make friends with her? as soon as my friend left we were just standing around feeling akward.I really want to be her friend but Im too shy to be liked by her. talk to her.. Why not brush up a bit on Japanese culture just a bit to get the ball rolling. You can begin by sharing the points that you discovered through your research at the library or your research here on the internet, right? Of course. You can then explore some Japanes recipes and have her to assist in the cuisine..... In the kitchen......(you and her) Get my drift? This should be fun and would also show interest and allow her to become more comfortable with you, don't you think? Also, how about inquiring of her how to say simple phrases which you can use to speak to her........And then of course, there are the traditional clothing to remark on.......And don't forget you can see a movie together! |
