Im scared does anyone know what i should do?

my gf and i have a seven month old cat
we just got a two month old kitten
when they met, the older cat was friendly
they sniffed and cuddled and got to know each other
for about an hour this lasted

then he started biting at the kittens neck
the kitten started squealing loudly
we watched them carefully and after the cat did it again
we put him in another room

after researching and asking people
we found out that our older cat, although he is still technically a kitten
is trying to kill the kitten

i thought it was just a sign of affection, but its not
were going to get our cat neutered tomorrow
but i don't know what to do

i wont subject a kitten to fear and ultimate death
this is all freaking me out

has this happened to anyone else?

i have only one cat. but when cats aren't neutered they are territorial so your older cat must be guarding his territory. just separate them and introduce them occasionally.

We had an older cat, when we introduced the kitten he went berserk, hissed and carried on like a crazy cat. We only put them together in the living room, when we could supervise them. After about four days our older cat just ignored the kitten, later they became good friends and got along really well. Just don't leave them alone in a room unsupervised.

I'm not sure that it's trying to kill the kitten. Sometimes young cats play roughly. My cats do the same exact thing, biting each other's necks sometimes. I think it's just like kids...sometimes getting too rough or being the bully. But I doubt it's trying to kill the kitten.

Take your question here:

These people are vegetarians and vegans (so watch your language). They are sweet and love animals and have great experience with them.

Post your question here, and they will be able to help you.
