Help me plan my Las Vegas trip?

most of my friends/guests rely on me for this Las Vegas trip since its also my wedding. after the wedding, we got few days to have fun. im just confused where to start.
me and fiance' will arrive thurs morn, and we are set to obtain a marriage license ASAP.lol.
we r are from different states and we would just meet up in the hotel. most of them like planet hollywood, but as ive done my research, the Flamingo is the place to be considering a better deal for room rates. right? wrong?
friday.wedding.
then we got Sat, Sun and Mon.
i know checking the hotels are one ultimate free sites to see. but since it will too hot during the day.. what can we do to not waste our time waiting for the weather to be cooler?
can one help me plan a detailed things to do for these days?
appreciate it so much
ps. we planned to rent a car and we wana check the grand canyon. and what-not.rental cars on the cheap?or we just go by a ticket on these bus tours?any park entrance fees

i got a pretty good deal in NYNY. y'all recommend it?

Best of luck on your wedding. First of all, I know what I am talking about. I do not recommend visiting the Grand Canyon if you are staying less than seven days. It is about a 6 hour drive EACH WAY! That is like flying to New York then driving to Washington DC. There is once you pass over the Hoover Dam there is pretty much nothing to see.

The hotel rooms are two to three times more expensive on Friday and Saturday. The Flamingo is an older Hotel but very nice and has a great pool and wildlife habitat. Also in the same area and same price range are Monte Carlo and Luxor.

Keep your group in Las Vegas. There is a lot to see and do. There is a free tram that runs from Excalibur to Mandalay Bay, to Luxor and back to Excalibur. There is another free tram between Treasure Island and the Mirage. Most of the Hotels have great shopping and free attractions to see. Some also have attractions you have to pay for but you should look for discount coupons on line. Tickets for any of the top shows or headliners must be purchase before you go. You will not find any once you get there.

Getting from the airport to the hotel use the shuttle services they are cheaper than taxis. In the evening, you will want to see the dancing fountains in front of the Bellagio, the volcano erupt in front of the Mirage the pirate themed Sirens of TI in front of Treasure Island. New York, New York has a pretty wild roller coaster ride, the Luxor has an Imax theater and an Imax ride.

Check out the breakfast buffet at Paris.(before 11am) great! It is divided into five different regions of France each featuring breakfast food as it is prepared in that region. There is a made to order omelet station and a made to order crepe station. Large fruit bar and pastry bar. The dinner buffet at Planet Hollywood is and excellent value, too. The top (pricey) buffets are at Bellagio and Wynn.

Shopping is great, too. Caesars Palace, Venetian have great shops, Planet Hollywood has 130 shops and the Fashion Show mall at mid Strip has 250 shops and 6 major department stores like Bloomingdale's and Sachs Fifth Ave.

Just walking around in the massive hotels is a real treat. Bellagio has fantastic gardens, the Luxor has a massive atrium the Venetian has ceilings like the Cysteine Chapel and gondolas.

It is so over the top it is fun just to try to take it all in.

Us ethe Monorail. Most of your walking will be in air conditioned casinos rather than the heat this way. You can still get around easily, you don't have to go around traffic, and you don't have to put up with too much of the heat.
