Why are Chinese people so kind and Japanese people are so vain,racist,mean..etc?

I haven't met not ONE friendly japanese person.. I know I should reserve my judgement but I know alot of japanese people and they just piss me off because they are so rude to me no matter how nice I act. One japanese dude I know, he always judges people on looks.. A girl walks in the room and he's like "thats the ugliest girl I've ever seen in my entire life.. her nose is **** 'd up, and look at her cross-eyes..."blah blah blah. I was just like wtf??
I know of a small chinese community that live near the pasadena (CA) area and they are like total opposite of japanese people.. so friendly, kind, cool, down to earth.. I mean, what is the deal with the japanese?

i thought that was opposite. i've seen lots of friendly japanese people but not chinese.

I know what you mean. I'm Korean and have met plenty of Japanese people who are pretty arrogant and stuck up. But, not all of them are like that, I have also met some very nice and outgoing people from Japan too. A lot of people though, base people on looks, not just the Japanese.

I've actually met a lot of really friendly Japanese people. I mean, how many mean Japanese people have you met where you've gotten to the point that you need to generalize your opinion to the whole population?

Culture.....

In Japan.....an individual is expected (required) to be polite to one's family......and co-workers.

It is not a requirement to be nice to anyone outside the family.....or job.

The Chinese do not share this unique practice.
