Boyfriend is ALWAYS late..?

My boyfriend is ALWAYS late because he gets caught up in doing other things! He literally lives 5 minutes from me..and he'll call and say "ill be there in half hour" and then shows up like an hour later that he said he would! I confronted him about it 2 times already..he said he would try to be on time, but i havent seen any change! After he gets ready to come over..he starts doing his laundry, cleaning his room, doing something w/ his car, stuff like that..then loses track of time he says. I understand he has things to do..but he should at least call and say hes going to be late instead of making me wait around for an hour or two. But like i said, i've mentioned it to him, he promised he would changed and still hasnt!
Is there anything else i can do or say to him about this?
*hes not just late when it comes to hanging out w/ me..hes even late when hes supposed to go out with his friends or meet up w/ his boss*

He is just a late person, don't try to change it though, you can just adjust to it. My ex was always late, and it got on my nerves, and we even had a big fight about it. I was told that, "everything has to always be on my schedule", which of course highly ticked me off. But I got over it, because I just realized it is a tiny little thing, that shouldn't spark a fight. Best thing to do is just think like this. When he says a half an hour, just tack on 30 minutes to it, and expect him in an hour. For all you know, he could just surprise you by being there in a half an hour.
