Meeting someone from an ad? plz help?

okay so i saw this ad at a music store
i called the guy up...we talked about meeting up
he said we can meet up at the drummer's house
we would play in his room
i really have no friends and i am interested in forming a band because i love music and at the same time make friends

and i go to a commuter college so it's hard to make friends to hangout with and don't say clubs cuz i didn't like it

WHAT IF I MEET HIM AND THE GUY AT A COFFEE SHOP OR PUBLIC PLACE
THEN HEAD OVER THIS THE GUYS HOUSE TO PLAY??!?

you should not meet this guy @ his pace even if you meet up in a public lace first, becasue he could just be acting up while your in public, you dont know that when you go to his place he wont go all nuts on you,
from experience never invite a guy over or go over his place unless youve known him for a while. Even if he's nice and super normal when you meet in public.
Who defines normal either way?

Get to know him first. Meet in public. Could be a killer or crazy. Never know.
