I met my bf in a chat room. He's in the army, and in Iraq. How long should we date before getting married? |
Im 26, He's 20. He's mentioned proposing to me when he comes home in May, he says he wants to get married soon after. We met in February. I really feel a great connection to him. We complete each others thoughts, sentences, etc. He says he loves me, and I really love him too. Is it too soon? You need to wait until you get to meet him in person and spend some time around him before you make any rash decissions. People can be anyone and anything on the internet because they control the time they are on and they control what information is being sent out. Truth maybe maybe not and you do not even get the benefit of face to face observation to help you sort out which is what. if you think that your really ready for this and he is also then go right ahead but if u might be ready but not sure u need to wait . The same situation happened to a friend of mine, and at the time we were all skeptical and against it, but you know what they got married when he came back and are they are such a fun couple to be around because they are so happy. In fact I like her a lot better now because he mellowed her out a bit. Waiting can't hurt, but if you find yourselves running to the church then that could end up positive for you. |
