Good ice breaker for a corporate meeting?

I have to organize and lead my team meeting at the end of this month and am having trouble coming up with an ice breaker (i.e. - go around the room and say your name, something about yourself, etc... and everyone has to remember one fact about you). There are several different things that can be done and just about everything under the sun has been done at our meetings already. We do have a few new employees who recently joined our team so I would like it to involve getting to know eachother. Does anyone have a fun and creative idea for an ice breaker that I can use? Maybe something you have personally used and experienced success with? I would appreciate all [serious] ideas!

I once had a meeting with all new staff (25 people). I had each one of them write down what they would rather be doing, other than sitting in a meeting. They had to write down a real activity, such as fishing in Colorado, or watching the football game. Then I had them turn them into me and I guessed which activity went with which person. (You have new people and they could be your guessers.) It was fun and we all laughed and it took about 10 Min.

There are tons of them on the web.

How about Tic Tac Toe. Report It

I know we did something about schoolday activities. For example, one of our VP's was a gymnast in high school. I think we had a little mini-contest as to who could guess the person that was the gymnast. The winner won something silly like a rubber ducky.

Depending on how small or large the group is, how about have everyone write one word on a card. Assign to each peson either a noun or verb. Then all cards are passed to one person and that person together with a person from each side of them puts a sentence together with those words. could be very funny!

Just as long as you don't get too intrusive. I do dislike when managers ask a bunch of stupid ice breaker question during meetings or make us do dumb things that invade our privacy. Don't try to outdo what has been done before. Instead, offer a good breakfast or lunch for the meeting. Also, door prizes are fun.
