Should i meet these guys? plz help?

people say on here to look for ads in a music store for people looking for a band or whatever
and then u ask on here if u should meet them it's not a good idea
then why the heck do I respond to ads for
i called the guy up
he's like wecan play at the drummer's house
i was like i don't know u so we will have to meet up somewhere first like at a coffee shop
before i suggested the public meet he was okay with meeting up at thehouse first

should i just ask my school to use the auditorium or room to play?? which they probably won't let us
and it's not like there's going to be people around us if we do play in the auditorium
were gonna have to practice how are we supposed to do that in public?

IF WE DO PRACTIC IN THE SCHOOL AUDITORIUM IT WOULD BE BE A LOT BETTER THAN PRACTING AT THE HOUSE IT IS SAFER EVEN THOUGH THERE WONT BE PPL AROUND US BUT IT IS STILL IN SCHOOL
