I have fallen in love with someone online?

please help. (I'm 17)

I met this guy on a chat room bout 6 months ago. We talked alot, and i eventually added him on msn. We talk practically every day now. I think i have fallen in love with him! The problem is that I have been pretending to be someone else with him. Not my personality, but my looks and my name etc. I sent him pics of a model. And he thinks that's me! I don't know what to do.

It's like I always pretend to be someone else, online. Because I don't think I'm pretty enough, or cool enough etc. So I jus pretend to be someone who is... And I know this guy has been totally real with me...

Anyway what do u think I should do?

Well i would start off by owning up to the cover up. You need to come clean and tell him the truth. Honest is the best answer really. After you confess if he doesn't seem interested anymore i would move on....find someone that can love you for you....i promise you will enjoy the relationship and it will last if you are comfortable with yourself....

I think first thing you shoud do is learn to love, appreciate and respect yourself, before you try and offer out your love to someone...I'm not so sure about the "love" thing, you don't really know this person, the same thing you have done to him, he may be doing to you...it is not alway's a wise decision to meet people off of the chat/msn/internet.

I think in response to your question, you should be honest with him, honesty is the best policy, if he is negligent in responding to you after you reveal the truth, maybe it was just bragging rights for him "I met a model"... other than this, i think this should be a lesson in life, you never know where your situation will end up, so it's best to be honest from the begining...furthermore, i think at your delicate age you should be concentrating on school and a healthy future for yourself.......
