Will I get in trouble if I turn her in? |
My best friend and I (both 15) have done something very bad that I feel very guilty about, and we've done it many times. Well, it was only her doing it but I supported her because I wanted stuff. I never did anything bad until I met her. Then we went into the mall and did things...Victoria's Secret, she stole bras, panties, necklaces, and lip gloss in the dressing room while I watched. She would get 4 pairs of underwear for herslef, I always got way less than her. We went to Jewel and I helped her steal about 10 powders, some foundation, 2 blushes, a few eyeshadows, and about 20 lipglosses(not in one day)She kept it all and gave me only one lip gloss. She got herself jeans, clothes, everything. For every 5 things she got, she gave me 1. I just watched her steal the stuff and covered for her when she said people might be looking. I feel like she's using me to help her get stuff. I want to turn her in, but will I get in trouble for being there and not stopping her? What should I do? So what are the consqequences for that in the state of Illinois? Also, I really didn't do anything except watch her! Will I really get into trouble for turning her in? My mom will ground me until I'm 18 if I get in trouble! Also, If I do tell, who should I tell? Turning her in will cause trouble for you. Going with her again to do this will cause trouble for you. It is only a matter of time until you are caught. You were watching her, you were her accomplice, so yeah, I think you'll get in trouble. Turn yourself in though, or you'll live with the guilt for the rest of your life. Oh, and I would advise you to get new friends, too. Nobody like a rat. Keep your lips shut and don't do it anymore. I think that your going through a major guilt trip and it is hurting yourself so if I were you turn her in and everyone will be glad you did it, and if she goes to court you can testify against her |
