Input on my poetry??

__A poem for Cameron by me
Current mood: happy


As they were rolling me back to the opertaing room
Anticipating the removal of my baby from my womb
I felt the rapid racing beat of my heart
It felt as if my foundation was falling apart
Everything as I knew it was about to change
I never felt a feeling quite as strange
My mind began to wander & my reoccuring thoughts seem to worsen
I was going to be responsible for a whole other person
I was about to become a mother to a beautiful baby boy
That in mind my fears subsided & I was filled with overwhelming joy
A moment later the doctor held him up for us to see
I could not contain the overpowering happiness flowing through me
I never knew what true love really was until our eyes first met
It was such a memorable time I never shall forget
God has truly sent me a miracle from heaven up above
I will always honor this little angel and shower him with love
He is my passion my world my reason for living my day and my night
When I am lost he is my beacon shining ever so bright
I love him more than any words can portray
And I know my love will grow day by day
Having a baby is the most wonderful thing
The absolute best feeling any emotion can bring

I THINK YOUR POEM TELLS EXACTLY HOW MOST WOMEN FEEL WHEN THEY HAVE THEIR 1ST CHILD. I'VE ALWAYS JUST SAID IT'S AN UN DESCRIBABLE FEELING. BUT HAVING READ YOUR POEM I HAVE TO SAY IT IS NOW A DESCRIBABLE FEELING. MY 1ST OF 2 CHILDREN WAS A GIRL AND 19 YEARS LATER I STILL LOOK AT HER AS YOU HAVE DESCRIBED.
I THINK YOU DEFINITELY HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BECOME A WRITER.

Good. You could go a little deeper if you wanted to because at the moment it's kind of stating things people already know if you know what I mean.
The only thing is is that I don't like rhyming poems, but that's just me :D

It was alright,but it really wasn't something I was blown away by.It just sounded like every other new mother out there gushing over her experience as being a new parent.Not a philosophical poet that would blow my mind away that made me think of something in a different way.
