Boyfriend - apartment dirty, general laziness, unhealthy habits - I can't make up my mind what to do!?

I have been dating my boyfriend for 7 months now. Recently I started to get more and more unhappy in this relationship. When we met he made an effort to clean up his apartment before I came, he shaved, went running and watched his weight. But recently the apartment started to look a mess. I like to cook myself and eat as healthily as possible - he always goes fort the convenient foods. Now he is complaining about his recent weight gain. He does not drink enough water, smokes and drinks quite a bit of alcohol. In the beginning we used to go to church on sundays. Now he just wants to laze around in bed with bad breath on sunday morning. He has been too lazy to dispose of some old boxes that fill up two rooms of his place and I can feel him expecting me to help him with that. I work a lot but he lets me organize a lot of his stuff ( read letters, buy a new bed etc.) Also he is not making an effort to get a car. His health has suffered from his laziness (e.g. dirty contacts). What to do?

All guys are lazy, but if his home is a dump... let him know to clean it up once in a while... and get out a bit...he sounds like the typical guy to me... lol and being a guy and all I do many of the same things... He sounds like he needs to stop smoking and lose some weight though... alcohol is alright but not too much. Church might be pushing it... Most guys don't want to go to church...theres no point in going if you don't have good intention while going or if you go out of your free will is what i always say.

So, tell him to lose some weight, eat both homemade and convienient food, and clean his apartment... especially if you live with him...

What you have to decide is whether you want to be with him if he doesn't change.

Like a lot of people, he gave it a shot, changing into what you wanted him to be because he cares for you. But it didn't stick, and it probably won't. Most people don't change permanently unless they want the change for themselves. It sounds like he doesn't. You do.

So I suspect that if you can't accept and love him exactly as he is, it's never going to work out.
