What to do? i am terrified of going to this lgbt meeting at my college. why am i so scared?

I am at school. There is lgbt meeting coming up in an hour. There is a big sign out in the hall. What if it's in a big open area. I am super nervous and haven't really looked at the sign. But what if it's in a big open area. I am scared of going for some reason. Who knows who is straight and who is gay this big a ss school. I don't know. I am even nervous writing this. What am I scared of? I am terrified. Where should i sit in the meeting., this is my first time at this school and I don't really know anyone or anything. There is a big sign in the hall and I haven't even looked at it closely to find out what room it's at because I am afraid someone will see me looking at it. I am not out or anything and I would just like to a hot guy friend who's gay haha

Being new and knowing no one is to your advantage for this meeting. You have no one to hide from and you have every opportunity to meet new people and get used to who you are. I wish you courage

who's gay and who's straight? I think for the most part your safe with assuming that people at a LGBT meeting are either L, G, B or T (the last may be a tough one though) Just get yourself all prettied up (or whatever your thing is), have a shot or two of Tequila, and go get yourself some. If your gay, just avoid the girls (unless they have stubble) cause that's a man baby... yeah

Take a deep breath. This is why you should go to the meeting, so you can gain the support and friendship of others. Just walk by and look in. Sit in the back if you're scared. If anyone asks, let them know that you're not out yet. There's bound to be someone there that was scared when they first joined.
