you really have to be careful about this. there are a lot of sickos out there that would talk online with you and on the phone with you for a long time and then say hey lets meet only to do bad things to you.

firstly, i guess try to get to know the person well, dont be like oh 3 weeks. lets meet! gotta make sure he isnt doing this just to get some action. and this gives you a chance to be yourself and for the other person to be themself and you could see if you liked the person or not.

then if you find that you want to meet that person, then you should of course, like you said, meet at a very public place. you could ask that person to wear something noticeable. then arrive late to see if that person is there. this way you could scoap him out before and make sure he isnt like 50. hahaha.

i would also suggest to you to wait for as long as you can before you meet that person. you cant really put a time frame because each person is different. if YOU and only you feel ready to meet the other person then id say go for it. if you need a hard time, id say a year. that way you can talk to him and youll know he likes you or whatever.

also, after you meet him, its best to be in a public place for the next two dates. just in case.

just be cautious and think things through and you should be fine. there's a lot of sickos out there but then there are also a lot of good people just trying to make new relationships. just gotta be careful. good luck!

I highly advise you against that. I have done it before and I even did it extra cautiously. They can wait as long as it takes to suck you in. I mean, they may be nice, don't get me wrong, but there are too many psychos out there to know for sure. It is just too dangerous.

If I felt some sort of connection with the person than I think I would like to meet he/she asap so as not to waste my time if the conversation tended to be personal and see if the person was real.
