Is talking on the phone with someone that is not you spouse consider cheating.?

I found out that my husband was talking on the phone with another woman that he had meet over a chat room. Around the same time I was telling him, he need to spend more time with his family. I told him (that I could not believe he cheated on my again) he said that he didn't consider talking over the phone a very long time with another woman he never met as cheating.

did he give her his credit card number?

Why he would give somebody from chat room a phone number? That is cheating.

It is cheating on the phone especially when he met the women on a chat line. He playing you to the fullest.

It is not cheating but maybe u could charge him with something else like, may be he was not doing his (family) duty well. He is supposed to spend some time with his spouse instead of talking on the phone to strange women.

Depends on what they are talking about.

The question is, why was he talking to her in the first place? I believe even if you have the intention or are exploring a possibility without doing the actual deed, its still dishonest and its wrong. Obviously if you are uncomfortable (which most people would be) with it, he shouldn't be doing it.

Most people think that cheating is the physical act of sex. Personally, I think that the violation of trust that goes with the act of sex is the truly cheating part of it.

The unique thing about your situation and the internet is that if you believe the above statement then yes, the trust has been violated and that is cheating. You will never convince him of that though. He sounds like my ex-wife and will never agree to that, in fact will probably laugh in your face. well 4 one he shouldnt be chatting with no one but u... and ask him his opinion if it is okay for you to chat then ask him does the girl he knows online no that he is happily married and see what he says then ask him can you sit on their conversation and sit and make him type that he is happily married and loves his wife dearly and if he dont have any problems with iut cool but in the mean time ask God to help ur marriage and your husband to love u more and start reading the Bible start at Proverbs

Hey! Cheating is cheating... Even if it's over the phone and behind your back. He doesn't really care about your feelings.. If he is looking to talk, chat, text, go on line to other woman, and; Talk to them..meet them, or just talk... Then why can't he include you too..

I do not think talking on the phone with somebody besides your spouse is cheating. There is nothing wrong with him and you both having friends of the opposite sex. You both have to trust each other, and just because he is your husband and you are his wife , does not mean you all are slaves to each other and cannot have friends outside of your marriage. Talking to someone on phone is not having sex with them in person, it is just meeting new people on a social level. I have male friends and I am married, and my husband has female friends and he is married to me. I do not care who he talks to and has as his female friends. I do not worry about that. You should find you some male friends you can talk to also.

I believe that is cheating. ... if the roles were reversed and you were talking to another man, I bet he would feel the same way!
