Would you, or could you love a genetically obese person?

Say you met someone in a chat room, who got your attention , you fall for their wit and charm , go to meet them for an exciting first meet /date and find that they are infact 24stone... give or take a few pounds.

What would you do. Run a mile, or take the plunge (into any crevice!)

What's a stone??? Anyways it's not about what they look like it's what's on the inside that counts! So, yes I would take the plunge! It's all about personality!!!

I wouldn't run a mile but they would become a friend and not a partner in a relationship. It may sound shallow to you I know, but this is the real world and not an ideal world. I know there are people who would say it makes no difference but it does to me. Those people I take my hat off to as they are obviously better people than me.

A little bit of extra weight doesn't bother me at all, in fact I don't find skinny men physically attractive. However, if you're talking about clinically obese, then no, I could love that person but I would not find them physically or sexually attractive.

i like in people what they are, or dislike in that matter. and therefor i don't care, if they are fat or anorexic.

I would like to think I could look past the weight at the person inside...perhaps if I got to know them better..who is to say though...never say never and there by the grace of god.....!

I'm sorry for being insensitive but the thought of 24 stone makes me feel a bit sick really, i couldn't do it, sorry but i would have to just tell them we would have to stay just friends, thumbs down here we go!

I love my partner for who he is not what he weighs....what a shallow question....

it wouldn't bother me though if i loved them i would encourage them to lose some weight because their weight problem would be shortening their life and our time together. i was big when i met my 2nd husband but by then he had already fallen in love with me over the phone and he said it wouldnt have mattered if i looked like the back end of a bus, he already knew from talking to me that i was the 'one'. i am happy to report that since meeting i have lost 8 stone because i want to live to see my daughters get married and settled. it's hard but when you truly fall for someone looks really shouldn't matter, unless he doesn't have his own teeth maybe then i'd run. lol xx


edit. surely if you had gotten to know one another beforehand by communications surely you would have told one another what you looked like before you met. if however you met and they were a lot bigger than they said i would be annoyed at being lied to.
