Why is he playing games?

I broke up with my boyfriend of 3 years on last wednesday. Well, I have 2 c him at church every sunday and I hate that!!!! I don't want 2 c him, be around, talk 2 him...at all!!! He sat right infront of me at church and he was looking all happy and talking 2 people that he doesn't normally talk to. I never spoke a word 2 him and he never said a word 2 me either. I had a meeting 2 go 2 and he stood around until after my meeting and once he knew that I was about 2 walk out of the room, he started laughing and talking to someone. Once I walked past him without saying anything, he finally left. Why was he acting like that?

He isn't happy about the breakup and he's trying to make you see that he can get on with his life. I do this a lot to people, and it only makes me feel worse. The second you left, his world fell apart all over again and he stopped laughing.

He wants to show you there is life beyind you, a happier one for him, or maybe he's acting.

In any case, find another religious institution to attend where they are more freidnly, like a Unitarian Universalist, who preach loving all from all religions and all of us.

Mabye he wasnt ready for you two to break up. He probably still likes you.....or hes doing it to be a jerk

He's trying to make you think hes better off without you. Thats he happy without you Doesn't appear to be the case though, does it?

He is hurting. You dumped him and he wants to get even. Childish ? Yes. In time he will let it go. Best bet is to go to church just before sermon or talk to a few friends and surround yourself, like a buffer zone. If he really cared about you, you should be able to talk to him about this.
