Are there chat rooms or any thing on yahoo that i could use to meet people?

I know i can instant message pple n all but you have to add them to ur contact list first ... unfortunatly i dont know anyone on yahoo so i cant add them and i have no clue how to meet them ... PLEASE HELP ME

Inside the chat rooms you can chat with all the people present and later on you may decide to add them or not to your list. It's a good place to make friends.
