Is sleeping late (3am) and waking up at 11am to 12pm acceptable?

I received an e-mail regarding the importance of sleeping early and waking up early. But I don't really trust forwarded e-mails attached with images that is very generalised. Just wanna know whether this is an internet rumour.

No. Often time I am very tired if i stay up late and sleep late. People get their most important sleep before 12. So go to bed before 12 and u will sleep better. But i dont believe in getting up super early. You just kind of can't sleep past 10:30 once u get to better early.

Terence, it doesn't matter what time of day you sleep and wake, so long as you get sufficient sleep and some exposure to daylight. Many teens and young adults who don't have to be anyplace early in the day fall into a sort of nocturnal existence with hours similar to yours.

I'd assume the email is total bullsh!t.
