Setting up yahoo mail on Mac Mail for Outgoing server(smtp)?

First off I am using a mac... NOT WINDOWS!!! so please do not answer anything that will not help but only to show that you have answered and get credit, go somewhere else with that. Now,I have installed Ypops and have accomplished retrieving my mail from yahoo. Now I can't get it to send mail, I have put in the outgoing server as "smtp.mail.yahoo.com" and it tells me that my sender address was rejected by the server. someone please help with a straight forward answer to my problem, thanks to those who actually give real answers and not copy paste.

I tried "smtp.att.yahoo.com" and it still will not do it, it gives me a authentication required and i dont understand it.

That's the good news. The bad news is that you'll have to constantly put in your password because for some reason it won't stay in the keychain. I've been having this problem and I think I'm going to have to forward my mail to a different program and then to mac mail in order to get around it. Good luck!

Instead of forwarding hit reply and do your edit there. I get forward emails all the time with FAR too much information. Best to edit it anyway and this is how its best done. Hope that helps.
