How can i stop my messages from coming out of my yahoo and into my outlook everytime i open my outlook?

i don't use my outlook express unless i am sending something from the internet thru email. now everytime my outlook is opened it automatically pulls my messages from my inbox on my yahoo account. i do have mail plus and want to know how to stop this and how to retrieve the messages that have already been sent to outlook without having to forward each and everyone of them back to my yahoo inbox.

The best way to stop this from happening is to go into Outlook.

Click on "Tools"

Click on "Email Accounts"

Then delete your Yahoo account completely. You don't need to use Outlook for email links. You should install the Yahoo Toolbar and then choose to use Yahoo as your default email program.

Here鈥檚 how to set your PC, running either Internet Explorer or Firefox, to open your Yahoo! Mail Compose window when you click an email link on a web page. We鈥檙e sorry there鈥檚 not an official version for the Mac - yet.

PC -- Internet Explorer or Firefox

1. From the 鈥淪tart鈥?pop-up menu in the lower left corner of your desktop, select 鈥淪ettings鈥?鈻?鈥淐ontrol Panel鈥?
2. In the Control Panel, select 鈥淚nternet Options鈥? This opens the 鈥淚nternet Properties鈥?window.
3. Click the 鈥淧rograms鈥?tab along the top.
4. Click the 鈥淓-mail鈥?pull-down menu, and select Yahoo! Mail*

Click OK.

As for the messages you already downloaded, unfortunately, they are gone and there is no way you can get them back on Yahoo unless you forward them all yourself individually.

This is the new upgrade they did. Look on your email page and it will say "What鈥檚 New" click on it and it will show you all the changes they made. Not all accounts have been switched yet....
