Why do people create e-mails claiming that miracles will happen if they are forwarded to all your friends?

I don't know, but I hate them. Maybe for some, that's the only dose of religion they want for the day -- to pass on some sappy story, and a silly angel that's supposed to multiply every time it's forwarded (NOT). I guess I should have more patience with them; but after having seen actual miracles, I'm just wearied by empty promises of nothing but spiritual garbage.

And then some line at the end like, "I better not see or hear of this being deleted...." [DELETED!!!]

And then there's the Patriotic kind. "Keep forwarding this prayer chain around the world for our troops..." Well, I pray for our troops (God bless 'em!), but I don't need a school-girlish chain letter to do it. Every time a got a chain letter in school I trashed it and I'm not gonna break with tradition now.

I created a signature just for them, but they keep sending them anyway. Now look'a'there, you went and got me started.

Miracles will happens, if these E-mail are for real, and if we all are praying for a good cause, like the ones that are state in the bible, not the ones people make up for fun, or because they kind find some thing constructive to do, this is nothing new, and it has been going on , since i can ever remember, as a child these kind of letters, now emails, was always sent to my family, and we will just put them in the trash, and forget about the whole thing, and nothing bad never did happens, to us. but if your mind is weak, and you purpose that ,in your brain, then you are in trouble, if you believed it, what ever it says it will happens definetly.. so i tell my friends just do not open those kind of E-mail. Because what you do not know, will no bother you, this is a good advize.... Peace.

It's has something to do with psychology...
as we know what you put in your mind is what happens (e.g thinking that u won't pass the Biology exam sends negative messages to your brain therefore even when you know the answer to that question you wouldn't be able to answer it because...well you can't pass the exam which you have saved into your brain!) so your friends tell u if you resend this E-mail you'll get good news...your brain saves that and soon there are good news...my friend once sent me 1 of those E-mails so I quickly forwarded it and sent it to all my relatives after 2 days I was told that my flat is being rented by high rate..financial good news!!

For the same reason people make viruses, to have a power ovr you. I can understand that, but why do rational, educated people obediently FORWARD these stupid emails to the required number of people and in the required timeframe even though they have never had any of the promises fulfilled?

The miracle that happens is that all of your information is downloaded to them, so, is the info of you friends! They then use this info to do all kinds of illegal things, all in your name, and the names of your friends! Don't you just love sharing?

Ignorance I guess, they shouldn't do that, especially if money must be sent, I just delete them BUT!!! If some poor fool, believes truly in his heart, he CAN get his miracle, just watch Benny Hinn, miracles happen to those who believe they receive. if you read the bible you will see that those who cried out to Jesus passing were told to keep silent but yelled out the louder to Jesus who gave them His attention and He healed them.

And you also have to send it to the ones that sent it to you, so after a while, the person who originated the email can collect hundreds is not thousands of email addresses to sell to spammers so they can send you more BullShot spam emails.

funny isnt it . if you say God dam something like a hammer that hit the wrong nail your using Gods name in vain . but if you say you are sending a chain letter like that your not . I have been in allot of churches that do the same thing . yet i am the sinner . well I will wear that cross and yoke. and will walk beside all of those other people that believe salvation is not in a book or in a church . that salvation is in the hands of monsters . Jesus knew this fact and died to teach it to us . sad to say that most haven't learned . Jesus did not die because of what he believed in as far as God . he died because he belived in a fact . if you bow down and accept thing as they are you will die if you refuse to accept things as they are and fight to change them you will die . if you bow down and dont fight back you will die . the Romans showed us that the law of the land is greater than the law of God here on earth . we will suffer for what we do no matter if it is by law of man or god . the only question is . here and now . will you close your eyes and prey for a better life after death and forget about those left behind . or will you open your eyes and do what ever it takes to insure that the people left have a chance for a better life . I think that this death is the difference that will be made that will decide on Heaven or hell . Jesus and his followers left a chain letter . but you see how it got misused .

honestly because they are being immature and have nithing better to do. i never forward those and im fine. i should be dead, have bad luck, have lost my girlfriend and much more by now but im still dating the same girl and im still alive. and i have always had bad luck so it doesnt matter. those emails and texts are just stupid and i dont see why people enjoy them

I think people start them for the money.
eveytime an e-mail is sent somebody gets moeny on it.
Miracles are everywhere in our lives.
life in general you just have to relize what they are.
Just sit down look and listen and let your mind go to work.

I honestly don't know. I get a ton of those e-mails like "I've sent you an angel. Forward to all your friends" or "A miracle will happen if you forward this in the next 20 seconds". It's just religious freaks trying to force their religion on you.

Boredom. And people do it when they see that so many have already forwarded it so many so they have to do it too. Stupid behavior of people to follow the crowd without stopping and actually thinking about the subject.

Here's a cute response to all those miracle promising emails. I send this every time I get one but they just ignore it. Guessing they are desperate for a miracle or just liked the art work on them.

It happens to me a lot. God has been around long, long before e-mails. If God wants to give me a miracle, he isn't going to check to see how many e-mails I forwarded.

Miracles will not happen,only expectation for miracles will happen.

Try to rope in all the suckers they can find, the same reason televangelist sell things like prayer towels. Ones time would be better spent seeking the Lord, not looking for man made miracles.

They are superstitious. God doesn't operate in superstition. These people are just plain goofy.
