Ex bf in jail and wants nothing to do with me...?

ok so i just got a letter in the mail from my ex who is in jail until july. Only its the letter that i sent him!! he just forwarded it back to me. He used to write me all the time when i was in girls school back when i got in trouble. But naw it seems like he doesent want anything to do with me but im still in love with him...is there any chance that he still loves me?

I don't know why he sent your letter back, but this is a great time to make a change. You deserve a better guy than this! Tell yourself it's over and work on your own life

When people are jail they go kind of crazy; they have no contact with the outside world and have nothing to do but sit around and think about things like relationships and arguments. Perhaps he feels that having you in his life right now is causing him extra stress, that he doesn't want to deal with. I recommend being supportive and giving him space; clearly he is going through a ruff patch in his life.

Is it possible that it was the institution and not him that forwarded the letter back to you? That definitely like on possibility.

there could be a number of reasons he won't write to you. I don't think love has anything to do with it he's in jail.If you write again and it keeps getting sent back then he may have decided not to pursue the relationship with you till he gets released, and then he may contact you

Why do you want to deal with losers in jail? Be glad he doesn't want anything to do with you.
Just because you have had trouble before doesn't mean it has to keep following you.
Look for someone who is doing better in life and hopefully some of their success will rub off on you.

Listen this is a blessing in diguise - you can do much better! Show him that you don't care and put yourself out there and have someone else before he gets out in July.

There is no way of telling if he is in jail.
It was a letter.
Sometimes in jail they take away communication privileges when you are really bad.
That may be it.

he may not want anyone to know he has someone but then again he may think that you may not want him when he gets out. people change when they are in jail and he may not want to hurt you by doing this

I don't want to get your hopes up and say yes because there is a chance that he just wants a clean break from things.
It may not be you personally, he may just want to have a fresh start when he gets out.
Or it could be that he does still care about you and is trying to protect you.
I'm not sure.
the only way you're going to find out for sure though is if you ask him.
Try to go and see him if that's possible?
If not why not write another letter but type it out including the envelope so that he doesn't know it's from you until he opens it, that way at least he'll read it.
Just ask him whats going on, and if he is straight with you and tells you that he infact doesnt want anything to do with you, it'll hurt like hell, but at least he's being honest, and i just hope you can get over him and find someone better who deserves you.
But yes the only way you're going to find out is if you ask him because it seems rather strange and complicated from an outsiders perspective.
