Is this guy hanging out with me cuzz he has nothing better to do or is it a date???

I met this guy at work, he cleans the windows at the company I work for. We've bumped into each other a few times, then one day I saw him on a dating website and contacted him. He didn't respond, but as I read his profile it said he couldn't respond to e-mails cuzz he didn't have a membership. So I tried myspace, and found him and he responded. We've been talking for a few weeks. We've hung out once... we played mini golf, ate ice cream, and then went up to the local tower and looked at the city. Question is... was that a date? We have plans to go bowling next, but one he said something that made me question his intentions...which was his friends mom died and I said we should postpone hanging out till whenever he was ready due to the situation.. but he said no way, there was nothing to do around here and that he'd be looking forward to doing something. Sounded like he was just hanging out with me because he had nothing better to do... what do you think?

Hrmm sounds like he's more into doing something. The only way though you're going to find out for sure is have some more dates with him (yes it was a date), or ask him. If he's not seeming that interested then move on.
