I contacted Santa Barbara Bank and Trust about my refund being direct deposited- Turbo Tax users?

I had my taxes done through TurboTax. I opted to have it direct deposited and fees taken out. It was deposited through Santa Barbara Bank and Trust. So I e-mailed SBB&T to see if my refund would be Direct Deposited, and they responded by saying, "We were informed by the IRS that we would not be recieving tax stimulus payments. If we do by chance receive your rebate, we will forward it on to your bank." So again.... NO ONE KNOWS!! I checked the IRS website, and since my payment is not supposed to be DD until next Friday, they can't tell me "Where is my Stimulus?" So I guess to all you TurboTax users I guess we just wait and see, and boycott TurboTax next year. And for all of you who say- Next time don't have your fees taken from your refund- That's easy for you to say when you have extra money, but if you are completely broke 3 days before payday, you can't afford anything extra- not even tax prep fees.

I paid the extra $30 because I needed my refund, I was broke, but i suppose you don't know what the feels like.

I AM SO WITH YOU ON THIS! People are so quick to jump and say what we should and shouldn't do, but it's easier said than done. I am a mother with 2 children, making very minimum, and trying to stay above water. Anyway, I guess I'm just gonna have to wait and see what happens with my stimulus. My numbers are 88, so I have quite a wait.

I spoke to the IRS and they were a bunch of complete confused idiots that had no idea what I was talking about. I then had them verify my direct deposit info and low and behold it's the info for SBBT! They have no idea where my refund is(my last digits are 00) and assume that it will be rejected by SBBT and converted to a paper check! I used TT for 6 years and will never again use them!

I have never had problems with Turbo Tax. However I always pay for my prep fees up front. I am scheduled to receive my stimulus payment by 5/9. You kind of lost me on the whole SBB&T, so is this your bank? I know two people who used Turbo Tax and they've received their payments already. I would just wait patiently and don't get worked up until 5/10...when you don't have it.

I checked my sons on the IRS Where's my rebate and we did TT and had the fee taking from his tax return and the website gave us the amount and when it would be in his checking account! His ssn is 09

Hi Lisa J! That is just amazing! So that i understand, your son had the fees from TT taken out and yet he still received it via DD????? Please confirm!!!
