Will the IRS forward stimulus payment checks? |
I am trying to find out, if I have a mail forwarding request in at the post office, will my Stimulus payment check be forwarded? yes it will go to the new address may contact the irs and put in a change of address form to them still have time because the first paper checks will not go out until may 16 Maybe. But send a form 8822, address change, to the IRS to change your address with them to be sure. You can download it at irs.gov Yes. I have heard that stimulus checks will NOT be forwarded. I could be wrong but I would go to IRS.gov print and fill out a change of address form and send in asap. Here I'll make it easy for you. I'd rather be safe than sorry. |
